River Community Credit Union
Large Enough To Serve You — Small Enough To Know You
River Community Credit Union has been serving its members since February 29, 1928. In the beginning, eleven men started the Credit Union with T J Morrow as its Founder. The Credit Union was open only to the U.S. Postal Service workers and known as the Ottumwa Postal Employees Credit Union; but because of sound management and excellent service other small companies and businesses joined in. Due to the ever-increasing satisfied members, Ottumwa Postal Employees Credit Union opened to the surrounding communities and changed its name to River Community Credit Union in the year 2000. In the year 2002, River Community Credit Union was very pleased to welcome the merger of the Ottumwa Railroad Employees Credit Union.
Today, we are growing by leaps and bounds-together-you, our members and River Community Credit Union. We are a financial cooperative, where members pool their savings to lend to other members who are interested in borrowing. We believe in personal service to our members. You will be treated like an owner here because you are, literally. If you want to speak to a real person when you call, not a machine, come visit us. Some may call it old-fashion we call it personal service. Service to you, our member/owner, is our number one priority. If you want to be treated as a valued member instead of a number, see what we are about.
River Community Credit Union wants you to have easy, convenient access to your accounts.
